Called Out of the World

We’ve been talking about the false doctrines that are going to arise in this last hour as we see the great whore of Revelation, the apostate church, coming into prominence. The Antichrist is actually launched into his position of authority by this whore church. We don’t know what it’s going to look like. It’s not just going to be an apostate Christian church. It’s going to be all religions inclusive.
Just like it was in the days of Daniel, just like it was under the Caesars of Rome, many gods, they were all polytheistic, and many gods were allowed to be worshipped simultaneously within those empires. But there was one supreme god, and that was the god of government and the secular authorities, whether they be emperors or kings that were in power, and so, we see Caesar worship. We realize that the toleration of religion by the state has always been, but when the conflict comes, the state always wins. I’m talking about as it opposes the religions as a whole. Not individuals like Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were delivered. Or as the believers who were delivered from the mouth of the lion; amen? But as a whole, the state reigns supreme. And we’re entering that in our nation right now. We can see the evidence of it. We’re going to see a continuation of the rise of the spirit of antichrist. We know that antichrist, the spirit of antichrist, was evident in the first century. John speaks of that spirit of antichrist very prominently in his first epistle.
So, here we find ourselves as the bride preparing and making ourselves ready. Rejoicing in the sanctification process that’s occurring in our lives. We need this sanctification and the cleansing power of God. We need to be separate from the world. “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:17). So, the church is being called out of the world, and being called into the likeness of Christ. And aren’t you thankful that Romans, Chapter 8 puts a real exclamation point on this when it says that we are predestined to be conformed to the image of Jesus. Hallelujah! So, we’re looking forward to that. It’s taking place in our lives right now.
There are two different things that are taking place in this spirit of antichrist, and one is an outright assault, especially on Christianity, especially on the true church. Right now, in America, we have the visible church, and we have the true church. For years, for centuries, there’s been the debate. Of course, the Roman Church thinks they’re the true church. And the Mormons believe they’re the true church. And the Church of Christ believes they’re the true church. So, you look at all of these who make the claim that unless you are part of their organization, you’ll be destroyed. But Jesus is the head of the true church and we are safe in His arms.
