The Holy Ghost Reminds Us of God’s Promises

Scripture: Acts 10:38
Devotional Series: Holy Ghost Guidance
Teaching: Holy Ghost Guidance pt. 1 (SUN_AM 2021-04-11) by Pastor Star R Scott

The Holy Spirit leads us into truth.  God will speak to you, if you can only get quiet.  For all these years I’ve tried to walk a life that was pleasing.  I’ve known from day one that the secret to being victorious is being quiet, and timing is everything!  Hearing God speak, “Go now!” or “Wait!”  Amen?  Because His guidance doesn’t come in full revelation of what’s awaiting you; we live every day by faith.  He only gives us what we need today, if we will obey Him.  How vital it is to be full of the Holy Ghost, and if Jesus needed it, I need it!  The greatness of this ministry that He fulfilled.

Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”  He came that we might have life and have that more abundantly.  The devil, Satan, has come to steal, to kill and destroy.  This conflict, this war between these two kingdoms of light and darkness.  Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power.  Behold, I give you all power and all authority over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means, harm you.  Filled by the Holy Ghost, we stand and believe that and call things that are not as though they were.  In the flesh we cry out, “Lord, we perish!  Don’t you care?”  The Holy Spirit won’t allow those words to come out of your mouth.  What the Holy Ghost says is this, “The steps of the good man are ordered by the Lord;” amen?  I’m not worried about these circumstances.  God works all things together for good to those who love Him, who are called according to His purposes.  There’s not a weapon formed against me that can prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I condemn, for that’s my heritage as a child of God.

The Holy Ghost constantly brings the promises of God up in your spirit.  When your head’s going crazy due to circumstances around you, things that are, in the natural, capable of overwhelming the natural man, we live if we walk in the Spirit.  We don’t fulfill the lust of the flesh, the fears, the anxieties, the doubts, the judging of God.  That’s the comfort of the Holy Ghost who comes alongside, to give aid and assistance, to prop us up, to speak a word in season, to bring the power,” as we pray and believe.  It’s the Holy Ghost that brings those passages to mind so that we can stand in life’s circumstances and say, “It’s written,” praise God; amen? Thank God for that work of the Holy Spirit!

Father, we thank You for the indwelling Spirit in our lives, the power of God.  The Holy Spirit who constantly reminds us of Your love for us.  That Holy Spirit that rises in us and says, “Don’t worry, you’re not the first person here.  I’ve traveled this way before.  This is your first trip, but I’ve taken a lot of people through this, praise God, I’ll never leave you nor forsake you.  My words are sure to a thousand generations.”  Father, cause that peace, cause that reality to be brought to our hearts and minds and we’ll give You all the praise and all of the glory for it in Jesus’ name; amen!
