Your Father Loves You

Scripture: Galatians 4:6
Devotional Series: Holy Ghost Guidance
Teaching: Holy Ghost Guidance pt. 1 (SUN_AM 2021-04-11) by Pastor Star R Scott

The Holy Spirit’s indwelling us, indwelling the true believers, and constantly bringing the confirmation that we are the children of God.  Galatians 4:6 says, “and because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son to your hearts crying, Abba, Father,” hallelujah!  He reminds us of our bold access into the presence of God.  It’s the Holy Spirit that gives us that boldness to cry out as a little child, “Daddy, Father.”  What a great privilege.  And the Holy Spirit’s ministry to you and me is bringing that constant remembrance, “He’s your Dad, He loves you.”  Realize that it is Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom, amen?  Ask for the Holy Spirit of your loving heavenly Father.  Your carnal fathers, in all of their carnality, are still able to bring about a love and a compassion for their natural children.  If you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Ghost to those that ask; amen?  This power of the Holy Spirit is there just for the asking.  Father delights in giving you this gift!  Part of what hinders a lot of people from being filled and baptized in the Holy Spirit is that same thing that keeps them from getting saved.  Thinking that they’re not worthy, that they have to work for it.  That there’s something on their part that must be done to be filled, something they might need to clean up.  “Maybe I need to work harder, maybe I need to pray.”  No, you just need to ask your Father, believe that He loves you and wants to fill you with the Holy Spirit.  Then just receive it, it’s a free gift.

Father delights in us and we have the privilege of calling him Father; hallelujah!  Think about that, our Father’s love.  It’s so amazing how this access is just like that of a natural father that has a loving relationship with his children.  There’s an access that others don’t have.  When the CEO is sitting there, or whoever it might be, people that have a position they’re in that you can’t access without permission.  You have to go through 3 or 4 secretaries and a couple of associates and then maybe you can get an appointment.  Or you pick that phone up and you tell your secretary, “I don’t want any calls.  I’m not seeing anybody right now.”  Then all of a sudden, that surprise!  The door bursts open and here comes your little baby running in there to see daddy, praise God!  He doesn’t need an appointment; amen?  He’s not going to see the big boss, he’s going to see daddy; hallelujah!  That bold access of just coming in.  Nobody else can get in there, but you can go see daddy.  Let’s just remember that His throne is always open to us and that this is the relationship we have with Him.  The Holy Spirit is renewing that in our hearts, constantly, “You have access; your Dad loves you.”  All those other lies of the devil coming in, all of those natural fears we might have of genetics.  All of our history that the devil tries to bring up.  They’re all lies. Your redemption, the plan of redemption is finished, praise God!  By the blood of Jesus, we have access and the privilege of calling him Father.  Let’s listen, constantly, to that inner voice, because it is something that’s being spoken to you over and over again.  We just get caught up fretting and fearing and anxious.  Let’s get quiet and let the Holy Spirit bear witness with our spirit that we are the sons of God.
