Greater is He

Teaching: Why Tongues? pt. 1 (SUN_AM 2023-07-16) by Pastor Star R Scott
Continue to pray. Some good news in Singapore. It looks like the Lord is opening some doors that could allow us to get large numbers of our books into China. Can you say “praise God” for that? Brothers and sisters in China that don’t come and sit in a beautiful place like this and left free to worship God but are putting their lives on the line to sneak out at night and gather in different places for every meeting because of the persecution. Many are being put into prison, an opportunity for so many of these young pastors. See, there are not large churches. There are pastors that are pastoring groups of 15-20, hiding out. Let’s pray for them; amen? Pray for the church in China, pray for the church around the world that is experiencing persecutions. There is great persecution in Indonesia right now. We forget about the rest of the world; we have it so easy here. Brothers and sisters are suffering, being martyred, being imprisoned this very day because of the name of Jesus. So, HR isn’t all that bad. “And you will receive power.” Thank God that when that comes upon us—I just want to remind you of one thing, I don’t know what I’ll be able to do under those circumstances.
I’ll tell you what you’ll be able to do. You’ll stand, praise God, “because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4) and God’s grace will be sufficient. “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard” by His grace in you (Isaiah 59:19); amen? You will stand. You may not feel like it now. We’re so weak compared to the rest of these other Christians. We might think in our own minds, their strength is in their weakness, their total reliance upon God. There is no Plan B. We got off on that a little bit by just saying pray for Malaysia. There seems to be a good acceptance throughout Malaysia at this time. A large constituency of the Assemblies of God. I just envision some of these young pastors slipping out at two in the morning and gathering with 15 or 20 people and opening the book on spiritual guidance, then going to the Scriptures and gaining a new confidence in God ordering their steps, hallelujah. What a gift we will have given them. And I say “we,” because of all your prayer and the financial support, and all that’s putting these things in their hands. What a time, as God’s preparing His church for His soon coming. I don’t know what’s upon us but in my spirit, my spirit is just—I don’t want to use the term, unrest, but there’s an anticipation in my spirit. That would be a better way to say it. An anticipation of us being washed, prepared, made without spot or wrinkle, beyond where we are at this moment. Preparing us for His soon coming; amen?
