Anointed to Do Good

People today are surprised when God does great and mighty things in our midst, and it should be an expectation every day; amen? We should be surprised when we do pray and devils don’t come out, when we do pray and people are not instantaneously healed. When we pray and then go to share the gospel and we hear them cry, “What must I do to be saved?” I want to live in the last‑day power of the Holy Ghost, the same power that came on Pentecost; we’re now in the last days. We see the prophecy here of Isaiah, and then we see the fulfillment of that in the Person of Jesus. Look over for just a moment at Matthew, Chapter 3, verse 16. “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:” Acts, Chapter 10, verse 38, tells us, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:”—Amen?—“who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil….”
Suicide is up across the board. Tragically, children, to a great degree now—suicide occurring in little children. How is that? These latchkey children, these children that have been turned over to the Antichrist, to Satan himself, a hopelessness in our society. I don’t want to get off course on all of this gender nonsense, and it might be a little oversimplification but not that much. These poor little children and they go to school and they hear all this nonsense being taught. They come back and the little boy looks at Daddy and says, “Daddy, I think I’m a girl,” and Dad says, “No, you’re not! Male and female created He them!” Amen? “Oh, okay.” What side are they going to be brainwashed on? There’s no authority. They’re left to make up their own minds; we’ll let them decide, at six years old, what gender they want to be. Six years old! I was shaving the cat at six years old! You talk about not knowing how to go out or come in! Amen? And we’re going to leave decisions like that to children who have not been instructed, more importantly, who have not been loved? It takes time. You’ve got to be unselfish to love your kids. You’ve got to realize, first of all, they’re not yours. They’ve been lent to you by God, and you’re going to give an answer for how you train them up. There is only one book for childrearing. It’s the Bible. And one teacher of all of these truths, the Holy Ghost.
Are we taking time to listen? Every question we’re facing, every decision we’re going to make, do you sit down with the Word of God and ask God, by His Holy Spirit? When all of the world is screaming its vision and you sit down and get quiet and say, “Lord, tell me what to do. What is Your Word here, as it pertains to this situation?” In all of your study, I’ll tell you one thing this Bible will tell you. It’ll tell you to go get counsel. “Well, I’m old. I’m mature. I oversee a hundred men on my job. I’m a—"Do you think being an expert in the world makes you an expert in the kingdom? Follow those who through faith and patience have inherited the promises of God; amen? What’s the Holy Ghost got to say?
