We Can Be Partakers

Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:6
Devotional Series: Money: Not the Root of All Evil
Teaching: Money: Not The Root Of All Evil pt. 3 (WED 2024-10-02) by Pastor Star R Scott

Everybody has an economic plan.  We could fix the economy in America overnight by having a flat tax, ten percent.  Every corporation, every person, we’d have more money than we knew what to do with.  Why not do it God’s way?

Part of what we’re trying to share in this teaching is don’t get under condemnation for the blessings of the Lord, but don’t become possessive; that’s not yours.  We’re stewards of this.  Of course we can partake of it.  “The labourer is worthy of his hire” (Luke 10:7).  “The husbandman is the first partaker of the fruits” (2 Timothy 2:6).  All I’m saying is, with what’s coming our way, let’s get quiet and listen to God and ask Him what He thinks we should be doing with this.  Amen?  Would it hurt?  Do we already think we know?

We have many different investments that we have as the fellowship here, the church, that we have money invested.  Of course, we use the conventional thinking, diversification.  We have gold, we have land, we have liquidity, we have stock market.  And then, now you sit here, and it’s something I’ve been given a lot of time and thought and prayer to, and I was sharing with the men in our meeting yesterday, there is now—here’s the one thing that I think we need to be aware of:  There are no experts today when it comes to financial investing.  There’s none.  “Well, so and so is the greatest economist and this guy is—he’s always been making money based upon these formulas that he’s put together.”

I make my statement based upon this:  How can you be an expert when you’re in uncharted waters and nobody’s been here before?  These men have never, in their whole lives, seen what we’re seeing today.  Conventional thinking only works if we’re living in the same environment that we’ve always lived in.  The laws of finance have changed.  We’re not used to seeing the market go up and gold go up.  The manipulation of the Fed and what they’re trying to do with a quarter of a percentage reduction.  Fearful and worried about hyperinflation.  Our trust needs to be in God.

There’s a history that goes beyond America.  I think it’s a perfect time for Israel to take out Iran’s leader, all of their three nuke plants, and all of their refineries.  They’ve opened the door.  That’s what I would do.  But Iran is one of the players that’s going to bring Israel to its knees, to the brink of destruction, and then Jesus will come and end it all at Armageddon.  Amen?   So, no matter what happens politically here, it’s already prophesied what’s going to happen.  What methods are going to be used?  We don’t know.  God’s timing, we don’t know.  It could be tomorrow that it could all start or it could be another generation.  I think it’s soon, personally.  Soon and very soon, we’re going to see the King, hallelujah!

But what do we do till then?  Well, what does the Scripture tell us?  I will give you the truth regardless of what any financial expert says.  America’s economy will collapse.  How do we know?  Because the whole world’s economy is going to collapse, and that’s how Antichrist is going to come to power.  Amen?  Where’s our trust?  Where are our treasures?  We brought nothing in, we’re taking nothing out, but we can send before us, rich toward God.  We can send before us these offerings that are pleasing to God.  Beware of covetousness.
