Devotional Series: The Integrity of God's Word
Teaching: The Integrity Of God's Word pt. 4 (SUN_AM 2021-06-27) by Pastor Star R Scott

Thank God He wants to give us His kingdom, amen?  Thank God, He wants to give us all things to enjoy.  Thank God, that as His people, He wants to prosper us in our lives.  The deceitfulness of riches tells you that somehow it will gratify you.  Beloved, godliness with contentment is great gain, amen?  More money will never satisfy you.  That is a very clear teaching in the Word of God, amen?  “The love of money is the root of all evil” is being spoken of there in 1 Timothy, Chapter 6.

So, we receive the Word with gladness, and it’s growing in us.  Then, all of a sudden, we see something else growing within our hearts.  It’s the wisdom of this world; it’s the deceitfulness of riches.  It finds a way into our hearts and it begins to wrap itself around the Word of God.  It begins to say, “Hath God said?”  Many of these things that are very lawful for us are things that we, on a daily basis, participate in.  And then we know that as the Bible says, periodically, the enemy comes for the Word’s sake.  We’re growing and we’re making decisions for the kingdom of God, then right in the midst of this, the enemy will come.  Who knows which tactics he may use?  We saw the three that he used on Jesus, so, we should be very conscious of those things.  Don’t be presumptuous.

The enemy will come, and he will constantly try to convince you that God doesn’t care.  That somehow, you had better lay up for yourself because you can’t trust God, but you can trust your own right arm.  You can trust that which you’ve laid up.  We’ve got many young people right now here in this fellowship even that are talking about their investments and the market, and “I’m a millionaire now” and this and that.  You are not.  You are not until you take it out.  I can share something with you, it’s going to go away real soon, and the Bible says that.  It says, riches take wings, and when you think not, it will fly right out of your life, just like that.  What are you putting your trust in?  Where are our treasures today?  Do you really believe your house is worth what people say it is?

I was talking with someone not long ago that’s privy to a lot of stuff that’s going on in the world today.  Some of these people that are at high levels gather information.  If you can get behind closed doors, if you can see what’s taking place, there’s two expressions that we used to use.  Some say that what we’re looking at, talking about in our economy today, is a house of cards.  Others say it’s smoke and mirrors.  We’re in uncharted territory.  The laws of economics that have always been known and used no longer bring assurance or guidelines.

We sit back here, and after watching nation after nation, we believe that somehow you can spend your way out of the condition that we find ourselves in today.  Watching nations try it and be absolutely destroyed by hyperinflation, we believe that we can spend our way out.  But see, they’re in a no-lose situation, because if we don’t, it just makes it easier for them to take over.  Because it’s all about power, it’s all about an ideology.  It doesn’t matter how it comes down—the nation, I’m talking about—it just needs to come down on a different level so that it’s just like it is in China and Russia and other nations that the elite rise to the top, and everybody else is ruled by them and they are so thankful for Big Brother, the Government, to have what they have.
