Not by Might or Power

Scripture: Zechariah 4:6
Devotional Series: The Integrity of God's Word
Teaching: The Integrity Of God's Word pt. 2 (SUN_PM 2021-06-13) by Pastor Star R Scott

Who are these people that live these lives of such obedience to God?  I believe it’s summed up in this; forgiven much, loved much; amen?  When we finally realize how much we’ve been forgiven, we can’t help but love God with all of our hearts.  Keeping His commandments is not grievous.  Losing out on a few bucks to be able to come to God’s house and worship Him when one day this house will be locked up and the civil authorities won’t allow you to come in here and you’d be looking forward to coming to church; amen?  Some of these people that fail to follow those very simple privileges that have been given us to come and say, “Thank you.  I was lost and going to hell and You sought me out, praise God!  While I was a sinner, You loved me and died for me.”  What a great message.

I was going again through these passages in Mark 4; the Lord had really grabbed ahold of my heart.  I’d allowed myself, from that environment that we were raised in, for a very short period of time—and I’m thankful for that.  I got involved a little bit in the politics aspect of ministry.  As is my nature, I was wanting to be successful.  I wanted to go to the top in what I was involved in.  God spoke to me and reminded me, of course through Saul’s life, when you were small in your own eyes, I could use you.  God dealt with a lot of that ambition that was in me.  It didn’t go away but, thank God, He made me aware of it.  I’ve been very sensitive to it.  Watched it, guarded it.  Failed many times but repented every time.  God restores our righteousness; amen?

This passage came and it made so real to me, “It’s not by might, it’s not by power, it’s by My Spirit saith the Lord.”  Heaven and earth would pass away but this Word, every promise, is sure to a thousand generations.  It began to cause faith to rise in my heart again to be able and know, stand assured on the fact that if when I prayed, and believed, I would have it.  God began to do great things as it pertained to walking in the Spirit and believing the Word of God as it was written.  Right on the heels of that became the fulfillment of the Scripture; these signs shall follow those that believe in My Name.  Signs began to follow our ministry.  We began to see miracles.  God provoked us to go on the radio at that time.  We had a great influx, as many of you know.  Many of you are here because of that radio ministry.  All of it was based on this one simple truth.  If you put the perfect seed of God’s Word in good ground, you’re going to have answered prayer.  You’re going to see miracles; amen?  You’re going to win souls, praise God!  I have never doubted it for these last many years since this took place in 1975.

So, we go back to these basic principles in these last hours that we’re going into.  What will cause you to walk in the full armor of God is that very truth of this parable.  Perfect seed, good ground, fruit.  Thirty-, sixty- and one-hundred-fold.  How good is the good ground?  It’s how much time you put in to breaking up the fallow parts of our hearts and our lives.  The prophet tells us very clearly over in Hosea, it’s time to seek the Lord; amen?  Turn over there for just a moment.  Until we get this part, we’re never going to be able to see the full aspect of what God’s going to be doing in our lives in these last hours.  As we’re preparing our hearts to seek the Lord.  As we’re preparing our hearts in this hour for the revival of the church.  When we talk about a revival coming at the same time there’s a great falling away, it’s because of the truth that revival—revival has to do with the renewing, the reestablishing of faith, a freshness of the voice of the Holy Ghost working in your lives.
