When You’ve Seen Me

Scripture: John 14:9
Devotional Series: The Integrity of God's Word
Teaching: The Integrity Of God's Word pt. 1 (SUN_AM 2021-06-13) by Pastor Star R Scott

Praying for Bill and the trial that he’s in right now, the pain that he’s constantly living under and just believing God to touch his life.  It’s just been great times in the prayer closet with God warring on his behalf.  It makes life worth something to be standing in the gap and lifting up brothers and sisters that are warring at this time.  Those times that come where the Spirit comes on you and just like Moses and just like Paul, it becomes so real, “Lord, if I can take it for them, just set them free, praise God!”  I remember a lot, way too many days, of being in that trench on my wife’s behalf.  What sustains you are the promises of God and the presence of God that can only come from one place.  That’s getting on your face before God with this Book and opening it up and not leaving until He’s spoken to you.  That’s the kind of intercession we’re going to need in this last hour as we stand fully adorned in the armor of God, praying, taking the sword of the Spirit, praying, praise God!  O God, help us in this hour to break up the fallow ground, to allow that seed access that we might draw for the glory of God.

You’ll notice what He says in this passage, and I think it’s important for us.  It says Satan comes immediately to take away the Word.  It implies the one thing that Satan fears more than anything else.  It’s a holy man, a sanctified man, with the Word of God hidden in his heart, who will become declarative and speak the Word of God.  We won’t see it this morning, but just as the Scriptures tell us, all that we see right now that’s material, that’s visible, that’s tangible, came from that that is unseen; amen?  What natural eye and natural emotions can’t see or feel.  They’re all in existence by the fact that the Word spoke the Word and it came into being.  He said, “Life, be!” and life was, hallelujah!  Amen?

That same Word can be spoken out of a Spirit‑filled man.  “Life, be!” and life will manifest itself; amen?  The awesomeness of His power!  He spoke and the universe was created.  Then, as though as it was a little postscript, “and the stars,” amen?  Hallelujah!  And you think there’s anything too hard for the Lord?  He can declare anything He wants on your behalf.  You can declare anything in His name and He will do it.  Is that the Word?  I believe it and I have confidence in that.  I don’t put my trust in my unbelief and think, “Well, I’m going to fail in this one, too.”  No!  God said it, we believe it, we declare it, we stand upon it.  Let God be true and every man a liar; hallelujah!  We need to break up the fallow ground.

That’s what needs to be real in our lives!  That hope, that expectation, that true biblical faith of calling things that are not as though they were.  That’s the realm we need to live in, not study.  We already know enough!  We need time in God’s presence until out of our innermost being will flow forth rivers of living water, praise God!  We’re confused and trying to understand when it doesn’t happen, “How can that possibly be?  Why is it that we can’t cast it out?”  There was a reason, but they were surprised when they couldn’t cast that devil out.  That was normal for them!  We need to live there.  We need to break up the fallow ground, praise God!  It’s time to seek the Lord.  Are we doing well?  We’re doing well, we’re doing better than we’ve ever done as a fellowship.  But can we say that’s where we live as a daily expectation?  Are we able to say, “When you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Lord”?
