God Made Him a Helpmeet

Scripture: Genesis 2:18
Devotional Series: Husbands
Teaching: Husbands pt. 3 (SUN_AM 2024-08-11) by Pastor Star R Scott

Marriage.  The purpose of this union is to bring about a strong and a healthy church, which is primary to God’s purpose in this hour in which live.  We saw in Genesis, of course, that God had declared that it was not good for man to be alone, so He made him a helpmeet.  Scripture says that the Lord took out of Adam this rib—this neged; the negative aspect of Adam; the female part—and called her woman, for she came forth from man.  We saw that the man was not made for the woman, but the woman was made for the man.  Because of that, God spoke to the man and told him that he had a responsibility to care for, to cover, and to love, his wife.  He had other roles as he fulfilled the purpose that God had given him, such as to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth.  The man has been given the responsibility to train the children, making sure that these children are raised up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord; amen?

I had some great, great opportunities (probably one of the best days that I’ve had in a long time) to share the gospel with numerous people yesterday.  In sharing the gospel with some of the young adults (mid‑twenties to thirty years old) we began to share what we were doing in training our children up in this generation.  I told them how, as the world has taken their children and brainwashed them to an anti‑Christ spirit and a mindset of Socialism as it relates to our social situations, so we have taken our children and trained them up in the Lord; amen?  Our kids should be totally brainwashed; there shouldn’t be one thing in the world that appeals to them.  I’m not talking about the lust of the flesh; we’re all under that draw and that daily combat, but about young people who have an appetite for God, for the Word of God, for the kingdom of God, and for the people of God; amen?  That’s our whole purpose for being, the Scripture tells us.  “The whole duty of man:  Fear God and keep His commandments” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).  Hallelujah!  Our kids shouldn’t know anything else.

It was interesting to see the response of this young man; he didn’t respond negatively.  He said, “You know, I’ve never really thought about that.”  I said, “Yes, we are of two different kingdoms.  There’s the kingdom of this world (the Kingdom of Darkness) and the Kingdom of Light.”  I don’t want to get off course for this session, but it’s good to just be able to share with them who we, the church, are and that we’re serious about our role in taking this gospel into all the world, and that we will oppose the systems of this world because they are a lie and are not fulfilling God’s original purpose for man, which is to oversee, to rule, and to bring glory and honor to God in the fellowship that He had with them in the Garden.  So, we’re working, representing that today, though we’ll never fully realize it until the Lord comes back and judgement is brought upon sin in the world and on the world’s system.
