Will He Find Faith?

Scripture: Luke 18:8
Devotional Series: Preparing for Persecution
Teaching: Preparing For Persecution pt. 3 (SUN_AM 2021-04-18) by Pastor Star R Scott

We’re already in this conflict.  It hasn’t manifested itself where we’re experiencing severe consequences, but the battle is on.  The war is already on.  Are we upping our prayer, our intersession?  Are we praying and asking God for wisdom, as a fellowship?  How do we deal with these circumstances?  We need the Holy Spirit to lead us into truth.  To remind us of all things that Jesus taught.  We need the Holy Spirit to give us the wisdom that we see those in the book of Acts walking in.  You look at the Apostles under the persecution and there were times they fled and there were times they stood.  There were times they brought reproof and rebuke.  There were times they appealed to their citizenship.  Tragically, in America we don’t have any law anymore.  Oh, the document hasn’t been torn up.  It hasn’t been shredded and it hasn’t been burned— but the Constitution is no longer in effect.  It’s a relic.  And it’s tragic to watch.  Aren’t you glad our hope is not in the arm of the flesh?  Our hope is in the wisdom of God.

So, here we are, and these admonitions are very clear.  Watch and pray that you don’t enter into temptation.  Set out against these principalities and these powers.  Some of those terms are talking about governments and governmental civil entities.  They were meant for good as the Bible tells us in Romans 13:3, they’re supposed to be there to protect us and to keep law and order in our lives.  They’re not there to rewrite history.  So, we have weapons available.  Are we using them effectively?  Are we praying at all about these things?  Put on the armor of God.  That we might stand.  That we might be able to go forth in the evil day.  “And then having done all…stand.

We’re coming into an hour—and we know the principle, “without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).  And we know the Scripture very clearly in Luke, in the eighteenth chapter, “When I come, will I find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).  Well, we say we believe He’s coming imminently.  Is He going to find faith in me?  Is He going to find a life being lived in faith?  Surviving persecution is going to take faith.  Hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit.  Knowing when to flee.  Knowing when to stand.  Following the admonition that Jesus had, don’t take thought for what you’re going to say and don’t make all these legal plans of how you’re going to represent yourself.  The Holy Ghost will give you words to speak when you need to.  Supernaturally.  Wisdom from above, praise God!
