He Healed Them All

Jesus said, “You can’t take My life. I have to lay it down” (John 10:18). We need to walk with that same attitude and same confidence in God. I don’t mean that we arrogantly run out into a gun fight and say, “You can’t take my life!” You’d probably look like a strainer. I’m saying all of that to just point out to us how precious our bodies are, what God invested in us to make us whole! If that is not the will of God, then Jesus would not have healed everybody. There’s not one person that Jesus didn’t heal that came to Him for healing. He came to do the will of He that sent Him. Acts 10:38, “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.” It didn’t have to say “all” there. That could’ve been a powerful message, “God anointed Jesus and He went about doing good and healing those that were oppressed of the devil.” God doesn’t misspeak; amen?
“Well, how come Jesus healed them all and none of His followers have ever been known to heal them all?” Because none of His followers were sinless; amen? The thing that gets us in the most trouble is our pride and our self-indulgence; amen? He didn’t have that. “You couldn’t cast them out? Bring him to Me.” “Why couldn’t we?” (Matthew 17:19). “Because you’re arguing amongst yourselves who’s the greatest” (Luke 22:24). Jesus knew who was the greatest. The greatest was Father. He was here to glorify Him and do the work and finish it. Jesus deflected all glory to the Father and the Father glorified the Son; amen?
We saw God revealing Himself in Exodus 15:26 as Jehovah Rapha. He said, “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” In Exodus 23:25, He said, “I will take sickness away from the midst of thee,” praise God! God kept three million people; none were sick. None were feeble. Their sandals didn’t even wear out (amen?), much less them. Can He keep us? We have no indication that as they walked in that presence of God—you know, there must be something to moving when that cloud moves. They went years without getting sick. I wonder if part of the cause of not getting sick was: the cloud moved, they moved; the cloud stopped, they stopped. I wonder how many of us have our own programs, our own will, our own understanding of what’s best for us that gives place to the enemy and hinders us from walking like Jesus walked; to do the will of He that sent me.
He said, “I’ll take sickness out of the midst of you if you’ll let Me minister My grace.” We saw in Psalm 103, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (verse 2). He heals all our diseases; amen? We read through there quickly sometimes, “Bless the Lord, O my soul.” That’s how that starts out. It’s a great promise, but look how it starts out, “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name” (verse 1), hallelujah! God’s worthy to be praised. I’m going to bless Him if the healing manifests or doesn’t manifest because God is good and God is loving and God is merciful and God is omniscient, and He knows what’s best.“But I’m seeking Him with all my heart!” Maybe and maybe not, but I was told that if I would seek Him with all my heart that I would find Him. When I finally find Him—find that confidence in Him, the assurance of His love, of His very nature—it causes me to rest. Now I’m not anxious about this thing that was bothering me, my healing, somebody else’s healing, whatever. I’m just taken up with His presence. I’m standing in awe of His majesty. The God of all the earth does well, praise God, and He does what’s right. And I know it’s the will of God to heal me.
