Is Your Worth in Christ?

Scripture: Jude 24
Devotional Series: Kept by the Power of God
Teaching: Kept By The Power Of God pt. 1 (SUN_AM 2024-05-12) by Pastor Star R Scott

I was sharing the gospel with a guy from New York.  It was kind of cool, he was so prototypical—New York man, I mean.  I started sharing the gospel with him, and he perked up.  And he said, “I’m a Catholic,” I said, “Really?”  He said, “Yeah,” he said, “I listen to mass every day on livestream.”  I thought that’s interesting.  “And I never miss,” and he was going on, so I was letting him talk some.  And I never mentioned the Catholic Church to him.  And I just began to unfold the gospel to him.  At one point he said, “I have never heard this before.”  I began to talk to him about justification, what it meant for sin to have no more power over you, what it meant for there to be no more record of your sins, what it meant to no longer be bound by works and our productivity, but faith in the finished work of Jesus.  He said, “I’ve never heard this before.”  I started speaking louder so the other people could hear.

It’s sad to see the blindness of men today to the gospel.  What a privilege we have.  Jude 24 says, “Now unto him (God) that is able to keep you from falling…”  Good news, God is able to keep you from falling.  There’s going to be rough days.  We’re going to experience—truly, we are going to experience prison, martyrdoms.  All true Christians will have their wealth stripped from them, just as the Jews did during the time of the Holocaust.  The hatred of Antichrist for the church in this last hour can only be known as it is revealed in the Scriptures.  And we’ve never tasted it, so we don’t really understand what it’s going to be.  How much of that is permitted to be experienced by the church prior to the rapture?  I don’t know.  But Jesus is praying for us that our faith would not fail.  Amen?  God is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.  To Him, “to the only wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever more,” hallelujah!  Don’t let any fear enter into your families.  Don’t let any potential fear begin to build up in you.  Pray and believe God together.  Take these verses that we shared and communicate them back and forth to one another, praise God.  He’s able to keep us in this hour; amen?  He, you have believed and placed your trust in, will surely keep it against that day.

Father, we thank You for Your Word.  We ask that You would bring that joy and peace to us that does not relate to the world, to these circumstances, to material things.  Our worth is in who we are in Christ and what glory we bring to the kingdom and to the King of kings.  So, Father, we delight in being sons of God, children of God, heirs and joint-heirs with Christ Jesus.  And for that privilege, we say thank You.  And we give You all the glory in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
