In the providence of God, we all will face adverse trials; amen?  Many are the afflictions of the righteous.  The more righteous we become in this last hour, where antichrist is tearing down the faith of many—let me tell you one thing: the more righteous you become, the more afflicted you will become.  There will be persecutions, there will be trials that will come in this last day that are the refining process in our lives to make us ready to hear that trumpet, to see that face, and so shall we ever be with the Lord, hallelujah!  But we’ve got to make ourselves ready for that.  How do we do that?  By reestablishing that foundation, that anchor for our souls the Scripture speaks of, remembering Who it is that we have believed in, and I am persuaded that He’s able to keep that; amen?  And He can keep it in spite of me!  He will be faithful!  We may deny Him, but He will never deny us.

I’m not ashamed of the gospel.  I can proclaim it when I’m not at my best, which is most of the time.  Can you?  We’re not always at our best.  But I preach the gospel anyway, and I preach it first to me.  Why to me first?  Because I’m the chief of sinners.  Amen?  What is that gospel?  He who knew no sin was made sin with my sin that I might be made righteous with His righteousness.  What a great and free gift we have.  Are you persuaded?  Adverse times are coming.  This nation we are living in is smoke and mirrors.  I stand amazed at the document that was created by Christian men 300 years ago that brought this nation into a place of being the most powerful nation in the history of mankind.  We’ve been purposely trying to destroy it now for 50 years.  Oh, it’s going, but what an amazing thing, people trying to kill it, and it won’t die.  Why?  It was built on biblical principles.  What causes it to die ultimately is going to be that there will no longer be the influence of Christianity that will recognize and give any power or authority to these documents.  It’s the same thing we do with the Word of God.

Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I’m persuaded that if I make His commandments to me yea and amen, I’ll never fall, praise God.  There’s no way that Satan can get advantage over me, for I know Whom I have believed.  I know Him.  I know Whom I have believed.  And therefore, I am persuaded.  He is faithful.  That’s Who He is.  Amen?  I know Whom I have believed.  God’s going to keep this covenant.  It’s always there for me.  If you’ve gotten off course, just repent, turn around and come back, and God will receive you with His mercy and His love and His grace; amen?  He’ll restore you to all righteousness, hallelujah!  That’s Who we believe in.
