We’re In the Fat Cow Days
Scripture: Genesis 41:2-20Devotional Series: Rich and Righteous
Teaching: Rich And Righteous pt. 2 (SUN_PM 2021-03-21) by Pastor Star R Scott
We serve a mighty God! Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider; amen? God wants to prosper His people and bless His people, and even in this hour that we’re living, as we’re facing the adversities that are coming through the onslaught of the man of sin who’s rising up even in this very hour—I personally believe that the man Antichrist is alive. He’s in place and waiting for God’s timing that would remove the church and give him place to take over this world and to bring that judgment in the great tribulation upon the nations. He will pour out His wrath on Israel, His discipline, His judgment, this time of Jacob’s trouble so that they, Israel, will finally realize that they’ve forsaken their God, they crucified the Messiah, and all of this that’s waiting on the horizon at this very moment. We know that there’s going to be some great monetary changes in the time of tribulation. I’ve heard it said on a couple of different occasions that everything is already in place for a cashless society. They just have to be given the go-ahead. I don’t know that a cashless society is going to be introduced with the introduction of the great whore that we spent some time studying just a little time back. My take on this is that it’s going to actually come prior to tribulation. I think it’s going to become something that becomes an established way of life sometime here in the near future, even while we, the church, are still residing here. The cashless society is not the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast is introduced into a cashless society. So, we realize that this is something we could be facing.
In general, God wants to bless, to prosper, to advance His people. It doesn’t take a very in-depth reading of Scripture to realize that God, Jehovah Jireh, is our provider; amen? He wants to bless us (Deuteronomy 28); those that are walking in covenant with Him. He’s going to bless us in the fruit of our womb, He’s going to bless us in the field. He’s going to bless us as it pertains to individuals that are around us and give us favor in men’s eyes, just like He did the three Hebrew children, just like He did with Joseph. In fact, some of you have the job you have right now because God supernaturally moved on somebody’s heart and prospered you, praise God. Some of you have jobs right now that, as you look at the book, it requires such and such a degree, and you’re in the position without a degree, because God’s prospered you, praise God. And we could go on and on and see that He is our source in every area of our lives. And we’re talking about in this last hour, then, that I believe prior to this persecution that’s going to come on the church, God is going to continue to bless each and every one of us. It would be wisdom to draw from that principle of Joseph’s prospering, that as the king had received that dream, he saw the seven fat cows and the seven skinny cows and realized that there was going to be a time of abundance (Genesis 41:2-3 and 41:17-20). We are in that time of abundance right now. And the time and the adversities that are coming are going to be sufficient to eat up all the prosperity and all of the abundance that we could set aside. So, I think this is something that as we are thankful for and enjoying the presence of God and the prosperity of God that it would behoove us to set aside for the needs of the church, and we’re all part of that church. Those needs that will manifests themselves coming up to, I believe, the catching away of the church, as some of us make stands at our work for the name of Jesus and lose our jobs, brothers and sisters are going to be there to be able to lift our hands up in the name of Jesus, amen? —and to be able to give and to care for one another.
