The Integrity of the Word of God

Teaching: Sound Doctrine pt. 1 (WED 2021-02-17) by Pastor Star R Scott
It’s tragic what’s happened in our generation, because believe it or not, many of us are under this oppression of supernatural power, demonic influence, to where we don’t in any way want to offend others. We’re so concerned that we’re not offensive to others. We are being told from every side we must be all‑inclusive. We say that we believe, absolutely, what the Word of God says. Yet we’re able to embrace professed Christians teaching false doctrine and call them brothers, when the Scripture says they’re under a curse. When we’re mandated by the Bible not to bless them and bid Godspeed to them or fellowship with them. So, what influence has it had on us? It’s really that we’ve come to the place where we miss out on a very simple Bible truth. The problem in this hour is we’ve not made the broad way broad enough and we’ve not made the narrow way narrow enough. “And few there be that find it.”
Proverbs 4 tells us this. “Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine, forsake not my law.” One of the things the antichrist is doing in this hour is trying to diminish the integrity of the Word of God. The world system cannot let absolute truth stand. Yet we know God has declared His Word as truth. We, as a people, are going to be forced to make our stand on the truth. When persecuted, when trials and tribulations come upon you for taking a stand, the grace will be there to rise up in you and you’ll rejoice that you’re counted worthy to suffer for His name, praise God! So, don’t even think about “Am I going to be able to stand? How am I going to respond to all this pressure? Being rejected of family and friends and losing my job?” When it does come (and it will come), His grace will be sufficient, praise God! When the enemy comes in like a flood God raises up that standard against him. When iniquity abounds, the grace of God does much more abound. Don’t you worry about it. God will be there with sufficient grace to cause us to stand; hallelujah! There’ve been many that have gone before you and they’ve endured and they’ve stood. They’re that great cloud of witnesses, praise God! And God will not allow you to be tempted past that that you’re able and with every temptation will make a way of escape, praise God! We can endure and will endure.
We’re going to see in this last hour that spirit of antinomianism. All that means is to be against the law. To say, there are no absolute truths that dictate the course of my life, that I will determine what truth. We’ll hear those that say they’re Christians make statements like, “Well, my Jesus would never do that.” What they’re saying is, “My Jesus would never do the Word of God. My Jesus would never keep the law.” The law has not been done away with. Jesus came and fulfilled it; amen? Let me remind you this law is good; hallelujah! It is perfect; amen? It’s just.
Paul said he was going to Macedonia and was leaving Timothy in Ephesus. He told Timothy to charge some that they teach no other doctrine. That there were people that are promoting themselves as teachers and it’s not sound doctrine. Paul called out the Ephesian elders by saying that from among them will be those that rise up for power, prestige, and money; that will bring about damnable heresies. They’ll bring division and strife into the body of Christ. They will raise themselves up to preeminence and prey on those who don’t know sound doctrine.
